Origin of Aids |
| Since first being broadcast in 2003 the Origins Of
Aids has yet to be aired on UK television. Despite
winning many awards and being hotly debated the
reason is more than likely connected to the barrage
of legal assaults made on Channel 4 by Dr Koprowski,
who it is theorized caused the Aids epidemic during
1950s trials of an experimental polio vaccine in
Africa. |

Description: This film is about four scientists ostensibly driven
to madness and/or suicide by their discoveries at
the
edge of human understanding. Kurt Godel, Alan
Touring, George Cantor, and Ludwig Boltzmann all in
one way or other apparently discovered things the
mind cannot know by tackling problems in mathematics
that cannot be solved and questions about reality
that cannot be answered. This documentary delves
into
questions that science prefers to ignore or even
suppress. |

Type of Video: Documentary
Genre: Quest
Length: 26 Minutes

Description: The issue of sweatshop labor to produce collegiate
apparel has long been an ongoing battle for student
activists the world over. In the spring of 2008,
college students were holding sit-ins and protests
across America demanding their schools sign onto the
Designated Suppliers Program (DSP), which would
ensure that workers making their collegiate clothing
were given basic human rights. Students at the
University of Montana had been facing an up-hill
battle with their school’s administrators for years
and finally decided to escalate their campaign for
workers’ rights. Many rallied behind the leaders of
the Students for Economic and Social Justice (SESJ)
who were occupying their President’s office,
demanding their administration also sign onto the
DSP.
What resulted was student activism
that had not been seen since the Vietnam War. VISIT

| Our Latest Film: It Felt Like a Kiss |
| We are big fans of Adam Curtis, in his latest
montage
of images, sound, music and history, we are
delighted
with a beautiful experiment in art documentary,
almost a new form of delivery. However, despite the
wonders of the films art Curtis down plays
significant historical events to a degree leaving
ambiguous messages of these events. For a detailed
rebuttal of these see the comments. Nevertheless a
wonderful new and fresh form of art documentary. |
